The Pittsburgh Wine Project aims to cover and inform both the local and global wine communities. We hope to explore wine’s place in society: in our history, our cuisine, and our popular culture. Our web content speaks to the fact that wine culture is complex and vast, but also personal. On a local level, PWP aims to cultivate wine culture in Pittsburgh by highlighting local wineries and sharing stories about residents’ relationship with wine. Content like this serves our greater goal: to make great wine tasting experiences accessible to anyone with a palate and a glass.

In pursuing and sharing knowledge of wine, PWP promotes the idea that wine is for everyone from the sommelier to the college student. With a series of articles on wine basics, our content aims to create a community where anyone can appreciate the world of wine.
